Who We Are

Kate Klaers – Owner/Head Trainer
I used to be “that” girl, spending an hour at the gym doing “cardio” and then another hour weight-lifting.

For all the hours that I’ve spent in a globo-gym setting, I could have easily solved world hunger or traveled to the moon and back in a hang-glider.  Heck, maybe even figured out what the meaning of life was.

I’ve always been involved in fitness and nutrition, from college basketball and rugby to adventure racing, triathlons, group fitness instruction, professional firefighting for the City of St. Paul and holistic medicine.   My life-long passion for health and well-being has now brought me to a place where I can offer this knowledge to others.

It wasn’t until early 2008 that I found out about CrossFit and completely overhauled the way I trained.  My stamina, speed, strength, and body composition have changed dramatically since then, all while taking far less time to workout!

I am proud and excited to bring you to a new level of fitness.   I will teach you how to eat properly and provide you with a motivating, encouraging setting that will completely change your outlook on what being “fit” actually means.

Join CrossFit Athlete Lab and become part of something that will change you from the inside out.
