At CrossFit Athlete Lab, we want you to get the most out of your time and efforts to stay healthy. This entails being supported by a network of people and resources to keep you mindful of how important it is to look at all aspects of our daily lives and how it affects us. Additionally, humans are fueled by curiosity, knowledge and a sense of betterment. That is why we created Explorations in Human Performance: An Interactive Discussion Group, facilitated by our own Andy Paulson, PhD.
When: Second Monday of each month
Where: 4700 Lexington Avenue (Suite C) behind Fresh and Natural in Shoreview, MN
Time: 6:30 – 7:30
Cost: Just your commitment, your time, and your participation.
What To Expect:
First and foremost this is your group and any topics within the exciting world of Human Performance are fair game and will be selected based on collective interests. Possible topics include discussions on finding your mental & physical edge, epi-genetics, neurobiology and how it relates to your health, mindfulness practice, igniting your passion and establishing goals to get you there, sharing personal journeys and much more. The group goal is reflective of CrossFit Athlete Lab’s Mission Statement:
“to provide an encouraging and supportive experience, one that is progressive and tailored to each individual’s needs. Our idea of “health” goes beyond the typical. We simply do not want you to go through the motions. We want you to think about how you fuel your body with food, how you might want to work on a specific goal, or how you want to improve your quality of life. It entails surrounding yourself with others who have common attitudes and creating camaraderie with people who bring out the best in you.”
Andy Paulson, Ph.D., has a doctorate in Psychology from New York University. He currently is an invited member of the Mindsight Institute’s 2010-2011 colloquium on Interpersonal Neurobiology in Los Angeles, California.
