Saturday May 12th: Mobility Workshop led by Ryan McDowell from MaxMead Fitness.
Ryan brings a true passion for coaching CrossFit and strength training. Specializing in functional & corrective movement training, Maxmead Fitness’ focus is on building better athletes by improving movement. This unique focus comes with knowledge and experience in movement assessment, mobility exercise, and strength & conditioning.
Ryan McDowell spent 3 years working with the University of Wisconsin-Madison football, soccer, and wrestling teams as a part of their training staff. He has 12 years experience and over 5300 hours as a personal trainer, coach, instructor, and trainer of small and large groups. In addition to training, Ryan has conducted over 150 fitness & wellness presentations for corporate, civic, and philanthropic organizations. Register HERE.
I have personally taken a mobility workshop from Ryan last year, and it was the best one I’ve ever participated in. This is a great opportunity for many of you to learn some things that you can apply to your specific needs.
Saturday, May 19th: (10:30am) Murph Challenge and Paleo potluck to follow! Join us in honoring our troops while we do Murph, which is:
Run 1 mile
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
Run 1 mile
Partition pull-ups, push-ups and squats as desired. If you have a 20lb weighted vest, wear it. Start and finish with the 1 mile run.
